Dictation Options
Toll Free Telephone Dictation Systems: As our Client you will receive your own personal secure access into our state-of-the-art digital dictation systems via local or toll free telephone line which will enable you to dial into and record your dictation. Access is granted 24/7 and you may dictate from anywhere, at anytime. A redundant system is available as well as a backup system in case of long term shut down of the system.
Digital Recorders: For Our Clients who wish to use mobile digital hand held recorders, we recommend the Olympus brand. With this equipment comes a proprietary software to enable the uploading of the dictation from Our Client’s office/home computer to Protrans’ secure FTP servers. Training can be provided by Protrans to Client’s staff. If you do not own a digital recorder, we can assist you in recommending vendors or we can order the digital recorders for you and divide the cost between your first two invoices.
Transcription Delivery Options
Protrans transcription is a five step process:
- Health care professionals or others dictate via one of the dictation options.
- Our trained transcriptionists transcribe your dictation into high quality professional looking documents.
- Our Quality Check Department proofreads the completed transcription.
- The transcribed
file in Microsoft Word format is then available for you to receive through
one of our secure transcription delivery options:
a. Have your transcribed documents placed in your personal folder on our encrypted FTP site for your staff to retrieve with your secure personal password
b. Documents can be emailed directly to any email address - Upon receipt of the electronic medical record or documents into your office computer, they can be printed at your convenience. 24/7 and you may dictate from anywhere, at anytime. A redundant system is available as well as a backup system in case of long term shut down of the system.
